G'day all,
Sailing rocked, and we had suprisingly nice weather, given the average weather just now. Much drunkenness and tomfoolery, plus Whitehaven beach, which is quite possibly the best beach. Anywhere. Oh, and some great snorkelling.
From there onto Fraser island - the biggest sand island in the world, and site of foolish travellers messing about in 4x4 jeeps down the beach, aka the motorway, aka the airstrip. Is nice! Unfortunately we only had one really nice day (at Lake Mackenzie, which is the best bit anyhow), but there was quite a lot of rain.
In a little place called rainbow beach for a night tonight. I read a queensland paper today - it had the first 5 pages, celebrating the rain! Turns out they had the most rain yesterday in 2 and a half years, and it's needed to turn round a massive drought, so I don't feel too bad about the weather. Kinda sucks that it had to be just now, though!
Anyhow, internet's about to run out, so godda run.
